Yacht Information
Silver Star is a well equipped, well made and hard to find 1998 Catana C381 'Owners' version and is the only model located in US waters. Key differences you'll find in the owner's version layout include an office setup with desk and bookshelves that can also be setup as a 3rd berth using removable custom bunk and bunk cushions. For those of you who don't like sitting in telephone booth sized heads, you'll also find a rather large shower and head in the aft portion of the starboard hull. We particularly enjoy this creature comfort after enduring mono hull sized heads for many years. Also, you will find larger, highly reliable 29 HP Yanmar 3YM30FC diesels. She nicely sails at 7 - 12 knots in 10 - 20 knot winds and can get up into teens in 25+ knot winds. The Catana C381 is truly a performance cruising catamaran that is perfect for those interested in an ocean capable yacht. Please take a look at the pictures below.
Our yacht has been continuosly refurbished since we acquired her in December '04. Over $50k has been invested over the years to bring her into turn key condition. In 2008, she has recently been re-powered with twin Yanmar 29 engines (3YM30FC/new SD20 Saildrive), she's received new flex-o-fold props, new Quantum main and genny sails in April '05, the bottom has been prepped and painted with Petit Trinidad SLR in August '09 with all zincs replaced in August '09 and every 2 years since then.
We always consider sales opportunities for yachts that we own so if you are interested in purchasing this vessel, please call or email for further information. The purchase price for this yacht is $290k as she sits: 302-290-1066 or rcgamble@hotmail.com
